When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Kurtis can often be found exploring and photographing our extraordinary natural environment – on dry land and beneath the ocean waves. He and his wife, Eileen, enjoy being active members of our Aquidneck Island community.
A Newport native, Dr. Kurtis is a graduate of Brown University and Tufts University School of Medicine.His postgraduate training includes work at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education, and the Pacific Esthetic Continuum, as well as study and collaboration with other thought leaders in contemporary dentistry. His primary dental interests revolve around the holistic integration of jaw joint function, proper tooth position and alignment and support provided by healthy gums.
In practice since 1989, Dr. Kurtis is a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
